Ephesus at a Glance

Ephesus was one of the largest Roman cities in the Mediterranean. The archaeological site spans roughly 2.5 km and includes temples, theatres, libraries, streets, and private homes. Most visitors enter from the upper gate (near Selçuk) and walk downhill. The site is open year-round; allow at least 3–4 hours for a thorough visit.

The main street connecting the upper and lower parts of the city. Lined with temples, fountains, and shops. Named after the priests of Artemis.

Odeon
